The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health has released the official quality rankings of dental clinics, helping the public easily identify truly reputable healthcare providers.
1. The SEO and Online Advertising Landscape
Today, the dental market is flooded with clinics that label themselves as “international,” “No.1 quality,” “top-rated,” or “leading standard”—yet most of these claims are not verified by any regulatory authority.
Across social media and search platforms, many organizations use SEO strategies to push targeted keywords, generating masses of content that make it difficult for patients to distinguish real information from exaggerated or fabricated claims. Articles such as “Top 10 Best Dental Clinics,” “International Standard,” or “Rated No.1” are often purely commercial SEO content without any professional criteria or formal evaluation.
2. The Decision of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health
In response to this situation, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health launched a comprehensive inspection and quality assessment program for dental clinics across the city, based on Plan No. 13524/KH-SYT.
The Department mobilized leading experts to study international dental standards and domestic medical regulations, developing a set of 15 quality criteria for evaluating specialized dental clinics.
Multiple assessment teams—including specialists from various hospital departments—were formed to visit each clinic and assign scores on a 5-level scale according to the 15 criteria.
The 15 Quality Criteria for Dental Clinics:
-
Compliance with regulations on professional medical personnel.
-
Compliance with regulations on facilities and medical equipment.
-
Compliance with the approved list of medical techniques.
-
Establishment and adherence to clinical technical procedures.
-
Application and compliance with diagnostic and treatment guidelines.
-
Compliance with regulations on medical records.
-
Compliance with regulations on the use of medicines and dental materials.
-
